Kincraig is an attractive Highland village midway between Kingussie and Aviemore, which is the hub of the skiing industry in Britain. Close to Loch Insh and Glenfeshie, in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park and with the Cainrngorm Mountains as a backdrop, Kincraig offers an unrivalled choice of activities and pursuits for all ages and abilities all year round.

Enjoy walking or climbing, fishing, riding, cycling or the watersports at Loch Insh where equipment hire and instruction is available. A wide variety of birds can be seen from the RSPB hide overlooking the flood plains of the Insh Marshes Reserve and at the nearby Highland Wildlife Park wolves, bison, red pandas, wildcats and arctic foxes can be seen.

For the kids just 20-25 minutes drive north you'll find Landmark, a fantastic adventure centre with water rides, tree top rope trails and walks, climbing and indoor science centre.

in good years Skiing is possible from December to May in the Cairngorms. 2010 has proved an amazing year so far with the best conditions for many many years.

Golf is very popular in summer in Speyside with many excellent courses. The new 18 hole Spey Valley Championship Golf Course, in Aviemore,recently voted one of the best in Scotland by the Top 100 Golf Courses of the World, boasts some of the most breathtaking views in the world.

Kingnusie Golf course is one my favourate course also with stunning views and callenging holes over water and hills. Closeby Newtonmore is less hilly with more open fairways. Boat Of Garton and Nairn course further north are also popular as is Royal Dornach.

Swimming is always a good option on a rainy day, indoors at Aviemores' Macdonald resort or at Columbridge Hotel or on a hot sunny days outdoors in the summer in the lovely clear pools of the river Feshie just 2 1/2 miles north or River Tromie 5 miles south.

Fishing..Well there are loads options from Loch Insh and the Spey on your doorstep to the rivers Dee Findhorn and Avon further a field. Need a guide nor problem there are lots of guides around too. Check out..../www.speycaster.net/
